You do not have a discipline problem. You have a design problem.
Most self-improvement books hand readers a plan and then blame them when the plan collapses on the first bad week. Better With Every Loop starts from a different assumption: when a life keeps breaking in the same places, the problem is not willpower. It is the design.
Written by a senior software engineer who rebuilt his own life with the same tools he uses to keep large systems running, the book translates engineering practice into plain language for everyday use. Readers begin with the Life OS Map, a single page that captures how their health, work, relationships, and money actually run today. From there, the book moves through a complete improvement cycle in four parts: diagnosing the current system with root cause analysis instead of self-blame, designing routines with buffers and fallbacks that survive illness, travel, and bad weeks, running the system with simple tracking that lives in the tools readers already carry, and improving it through short weekly reviews. Failure is treated as information, never as a verdict.
The framework is practical and concrete: habits built with floors so streaks do not die at zero, boundaries that keep a hard workday from following the reader home, measurements that show where life is going rather than where it has been, and a full worked example that applies every tool to one real life from first diagnosis to a running, improving system.
Better With Every Loop is for readers of Atomic Habits and Tiny Habits who want a more structural approach, for anyone in a technical field who suspects their professional toolkit could serve them at home, and for every reader who is tired of starting over each January. Plain, warm, and free of hype, it is a blueprint for building a life that gets a little harder to break with every pass.
