This is a book about the North African, Near Eastern, and southern European countries that encircle the Mediterranean Sea. Primarily a book about the politics and history of these countries, there is also information about the countries' cultures and tourist attractions. Also included are profiles of the countries' leaders and news and current events about the countries. This will be the first in a series of books about different countries in different regions of the world.
