Poetry has always been a way of elegant expressions of my inner most thoughts and feelings. When I was younger, poetry became an escape from the emotions I could not express aloud to those people who came in and out of my life. Poetry also became a journal of sensual thoughts and freedoms I believed became bottled inside me until I finally allowed myself to receive the love and satisfaction I deserved. Never allowing me to act on these emotions created a vivid imagination for someone who at the time believed it was distasteful for women to have sexual freedoms and depressive thoughts expressed through voice.
