Read these stories carefully. Read them one, two, three times. There's more here than meets the eye. Some of the stories are fictions; some are not. Some are what I call "fictional memoirs"-make believe with a bit of truth mixed in. There are a few rewrites of old stories, too. My favorite stories are those where something's left out, where you can't see the whole tapestry, just a single thread.
