Beautiful, young Jacy James travels to Cape May, N.J. in the summer of 1886. Grieving the loss of a man she loved, a boat captain lost at sea, she climbs the lighthouse every morning to look for his ship. Spunky and determined at a time when women are expected to be prim and proper, Jacy attracts attention at her oceanfront hotel, and catches the eye of handsome convelescent Cole Stratton, who has come to the seaside to regain his health. Jacy and Cole become friends, and then much more, amid the glittering, glamorous social whirl of the town. Until jealousy, collusion and a secret from Jacy's past threaten to destroy her newfound happiness, and all hopes for her future.

Notă biografică

Maggie FitzRoy enjoys writing books filled with history, mystery, and romance. Her first three books are historical romance standalone novels that take place on the Oregon Trail, in Victorian-era Cape May, New Jersey, and in Prohibition-era Miami Beach, Florida. Enjoying mysteries and thrillers as much as romance, she decided to write a slow burn romance mystery series about a female private eye in 1950s Philadelphia and Thrill Me Thursday is book number four in the Story Smith Mystery series. Books one, two, and three: Never on Monday, Tuesday Means Trouble, and Woe is Wednesday were all selected as finalists in the National Excellence of Romance Fiction Awards contest. Maggie lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with her husband and beloved pets. When not writing, she loves to read fiction and nonfiction, swim, play pickleball, sing, and walk on the beach.
