A seemingly immature young boy and his classmate, a young very mature girl of stunning beauty and rare thoughtfulness are exposed to difficult circumstances. The story and setting revolve around the industrial complex of the late 1950's in the Allegheny River Valley. The simple and direct way of dealing with extreme circumstances and violent characters in a different era are surprising and unexpected.
