Be Mindful little one is an easy way to start introducing the word 'Mindful' to young children. It may be that very young children as young as 18 months have the ability to soothe themselves with focusing on small details in their environment. We have all seen a small child pick up a tiny flower and become very focused. We have watched how a small child will look up at clouds and the night sky with awe. Teaching very young children to live in the moment, either with a gentle touch, soothing voice, a warm hug keeps them in the moment. If we can teach toddlers to be open to the present, we enrich their learning experience, health and happiness.
