The stories in "Basic Butch" are what we are talking about as "mature" gay writing. Some plots are based on Internet acquaintances, all too frequent today, and some are just plain "human" and that doesn't always end in "living happier ever after". But they are true to life and may remind one of our own experiences by sneaking up on our consciousness.
