It is illustrated in both caricature and formal mode with informative bios of individual players. The great players are depicted, from Norman Brookes of 1905 vintage, stars of the 1920s and 1930s: Crawford, Quist, Bromwich and many others. In the post war era, we have other greats: Sedgman, Rosewall, Hoad. Laver, Newcombe and Roche, Grand Slam winners and Davis Cup stalwarts. Our two lady champions are also featured, Margaret Court and Evonne Goolagong, presenting an era when Australia maintained a worthy place in international tennis.
