I didn't like kids.

Mat's a Nan kid. An only child. A loner. So when she meets James and his six-year-old Grace, suddenly her well organised, solo life is blown wide open.

Then they decide to add a baby. But that's a lot easier said than done. And Mat finds herself in the middle of an
adoption process that forces her to confront her own childhood head on.

She doesn't understand how she got here. How she raced out of the door this morning and did what she had
