Architecture Is Transformation celebrates the 2026 Global Award for Sustainable Architecture winners' ability to welcome, embrace, and foster transformation in our built environment. Their work demonstrates how urban and rural infrastructures can be reimagined, how architectural materials can be adapted, and how immaterial aspects can be thoughtfully integrated into design strategies- making built environments more responsive to rapidly evolving social and ecological challenges.
The book explores a wide spectrum of themes, ranging from heritage preservation and nature conservation to cutting-edge technologies and experimental design strategies, highlighting their potential to empower users-always with a commitment to social equality. Drawing on interviews with the award winners and in-depth project analyses, the book offers powerful insights into how architecture can drive urban renewal, foster civic empowerment, and safeguard the natural environment. It is a rich source of inspiration for anyone interested in the transformative potential of design.
The winners of the "Architecture Is Transformation" Global Award for Sustainable Architecture will be announced on April 15, 2026 in Istanbul.
