David Mura is a poet, nonfiction writer, critic, playwright and performance artist. His numerous awards include a Lila Wallace Readers Digest Writer’s Award and two NEA fellow-ships. He has been featured in a number of PBS shows on literature, art and identity. He lives in Minneapolis, MN.

David Mura is a poet, nonfiction writer, critic, playwright and performance artist. Mura's two previous poetry collections, The Colors of Desire (Carl Sandburg Literary Award winner), and, After We Lost Our Way (National Poetry Series Contest winner). His numerous awards include a Lila Wallace-Readers Digest Writers' Award, two NEA Fellowships, two Bush Foundation Fellowships, four Loft-McKnight Awards, and a Discovery/The Nation Award.
