Nicolás E. Ottone is an Associate Professor at the Universidad de La Frontera (UFRO, Chile) and Director of the Laboratory of Plastination and Anatomical Techniques. He holds a Medical Doctor degree from University of Buenos Aires and a Ph.D. in Morphological Sciences from UFRO. He currently serves as President of the Pan-American Association of Anatomy and President of the International Society for Plastination. His research lines include advanced plastination protocols and anatomical techniques, integration of 3D modeling, virtual technologies, and artificial intelligence in anatomy education, contributions to clinical anatomy and ethics, and ongoing research on the structural and functional analysis of human fasciae and the histological and immunohistochemical characterization of connective tissues. He has delivered more tan 110 Web of Science-indexed publications and multiple competitive research grants. He is the author of Advances in Plastination Techniques (Springer, 2023) and has played a leading role in organizing major international conferences and training programs in anatomical sciences.

Telma S. Masuko is a Full Professor of Anatomy at the Federal University of Bahia (Salvador, Brazil), where she coordinates the Anatomy Laboratory and leads the Body Donation Program. She holds a Ph.D. in Anatomy from the University of São Paulo. She has served as President of the Brazilian Society of Anatomy and as Councilor of the International Society for Plastination. Her work integrates anatomical education, research on human morphology and anatomical variations, and inclusive educational initiatives, including projects aimed at improving access to anatomical knowledge for visually impaired individuals. She has also developed extension programs that connect academic anatomy with society, promoting public engagement and scientific dissemination through innovative and accessible approaches. Her academic contributions emphasize ethical body donation, student-centered learning, and the use of plastinated and tactile resources to enhance meaningful understanding of human anatomy.

Rubén Daniel Algieri is an Associate Professor of Anatomy and General Surgery at the University of Buenos Aires and holds a Ph.D. in Medicine. His career combines expertise in anatomy, surgery, trauma, and medical education. He has held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Pan-American Association of Anatomy and the Argentine Association of Anatomy, and currently serves in key academic and clinical positions in Argentina. He has delivered over 100 scientific presentations as well as numerous articles, books and book chapters. His work emphasizes the integration of anatomical sciences with surgical training, simulation, and patient safety. In addition, his research and academic initiatives focus on applied anatomy, surgical education, and the incorporation of simulation-based training and human factors into medical curricula, promoting safer clinical practices and improving decision-making in complex surgical and emergency scenarios.
