CHARLES "CHICK" ATKINS is a principal in the Atkins Companies, a real-estate development, investment, and management firm in West Orange, New Jersey, founded in 1949. Unlike most successful businessmen, however, Chick does not base his self-worth on P&L reports. "I have one foot in the traditional world of business and the other foot in the spiritual-seeking world," he explains. "Along with success in business, I’m looking for answers and insights into the meaning of life ."
