Notă biografică
Henry Tantaleán is a Professor in the School of Archaeology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. He graduated in Archaeology at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and obtained his master’s degree and PhD in Prehistoric Archaeology (Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain). He currently co-directs the Chicama Archaeological Program on the northern coast of Peru. Recently, he has been elected as a corresponding member of the Archaeological Institute of America. Among his research interests are archaeological theory, rise and development of the first prehistoric states, the relation between archaeology and politics, and history of archaeology.
