American Thanatos is a novel about a presidential election intertwined with an assassination attempt and the looting of campaign funds by an unscrupulous politician in league with a drug lord. "Thanatos" becomes the code-name for an operation to stop these criminals - resulting in action on the high seas of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean.
