This book is a cautionary tale. A modern democracy is a fragile thing. Laws must be balanced with freedoms. Corruption and greed must be controlled, without infringing on the rights of individuals to earn a living. Sometimes ideologies clash. Sometimes people and political parties cheat. Sometimes the people pay. And there's absolutely nothing to prevent this from becoming reality.
