Notă biografică
Christin Lore Weber grew up in northern Minnesota, entering the convent after high school. She worked as a nun for fourteen years before becoming a writer. The author of six books of nonfiction, including "Circle of Mysteries" and "Finding Stone, " she lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband. This is her first novel.
Recenzii
Mark Rozzo "Los Angeles Times" [Weber's] first novel is a quiet revelation, charting the paths of several women whose lives intersect with the church, with music, and with one another....she has created a delicate and compassionate tone poem about the dangerous entanglement of religion, aesthetics, and desire.
Descriere
Weber, a former nun, explores the nature and power of sexual, religious, and artistic passion in an exquisitely written tale of three generations of women and their inner battles to reconcile personal longings and the moral dictates of the Catholic church.
