Bea is heartbroken.
Her husband has run off with a much younger woman and her friends seem to have abandoned her, leaving her a stranded British expat in France.
She meets Chloe by chance one night when she stumbles accidentally into a gay bar and although Bea is straight, she has the brilliant idea of faking a lesbian relationship, as a way of eclipsing her husband's midlife crisis and exciting attention back from her friendship group.
