New poems reveal how time and seasonal change shape longing, loss, and the heart's relationship with language.

Barbara Schott peels back the layers of language to reveal the impact of time and seasonal changes. She also peels back the ideology of relations, the intimacy of self, to find both great longing and loss. The poet identifies how the heart longs for words, shapes itself with words. This collection of new poems offers the reader the rare opportunity to stand still and be enveloped in the greatness of language and verse.
