Alexander is back, but just because he's saved Terra doesn't mean he get's to rest on his laurels If the Galactics feared him before they are terrified of him now, and some Terrans agree with them. Alexander pursues Nazeera, intent on settling his debt of honor with the traitorous Bureel-but Bureel has other plans. Bureel plunges Chem into civil war. He murders the Elder of Chem and assails the fledgling Terran Empire. To make matters worse the new President Sadat, once one of Alexander's closest allies, now turns against Alexander-and Terra.
