This book highlights the impacts of agriculture on the environment. It gives a detailed account of the various agrochemicals, their clasifications, uses, and fate after application. It describes in details some of the negative impacts such as eutrophication, as well as some other impacts of pesticides. Using a case study of Lake Victoris, kenya and Sulphate of Amonia, it describes the water hyacinth crisis in the great lakes region, and proposes ways of ameliorating the same.
