Against all Odds

Anne had an impact on so many people's lives, was loved, admired and respected by everyone who knew or encountered her. The tale of her life is a rollercoaster, rising through great highs and adventures, then falling into the black abyss of tragedy, again and again. Against All Odds narrates her journey through all the peaks and troughs, as well as the multitude of twists and turns along the way.

She had a wonderful upbringing, married the dashing Patrick and had three children. All might have appeared perfect, but even then there were dark shadows. That idyll ended with Patrick's early death, leaving Anne a widow, with three teenage sons. A truly devastating time in her life. Until Anne met a younger lover and companion with whom she would spend the rest of her life. But the rollercoaster had barely begun!

Against All Odds is about one lady's bravery, strength, and resilience, managing to survive the horrors that she experienced despite everything. It's about Anne's ability to care, to see and hear other people's pain and help them to survive as well. But it also shows her love of life and adventure, of travel and culture, food and drink and so much more. It's also our shared life and love story.

This book is my tribute to my soulmate, my Little Owl. I hope I have done her proud.
