Adrift of a Ruby Yacht is a collection of two sets of rubaiyat. Each set describes the life of a man according to the seven stages described by Shakespeare: the infant, the schoolboy, the lover, the soldier, the justice, the slippered pantaloon, and sans everything. One set describes life in its positive aspect; the other is quite the opposite.
