Drawing on past and recent experiences, the book presents best practices to be enable organisations to plan, train, and exercise to protect lives – secure in the knowledge that responding agencies will effectively carry out their predetermined roles upon arriving at the scene.
Active Shooter-Hostile Event Response (ASHER) will be of interest to business leaders, security personnel and directors, risk managers, community leaders, police, SWAT teams, and other emergency and first responder agencies.

Recenzii

"Recognizing that active shooter and similar incidents require a coordinated response among regional organizations, Hyderkhan provides a comprehensive work addressing concepts and principles vital to policy, planning, training, and operations. This manual is a valuable resource for first responders in all disciplines, other governmental agencies, and community stakeholders." - Capt. Ashley Heiberger (Ret.), Independent Police Practices Advisor
"Scott Hyderkhan has written a must-read guide for law enforcement, especially supervisors.  Read this book today and learn from one of the best to prepare for the worst!" - Rich Portwoodretired police officer and owner of Blue Line Tactical Academy
"The ASHER 360 framework, created by Scott Hyderkhan, a career Army Ranger and law enforcement tactical officer, is a well-researched doctrine and innovative approach. Through ASHER 360’s four foundational systems, Hyderkhan unifies communities and first responders, promoting a prevention-first doctrine. Outstanding!" - Glenn Norling, Retired FBI Agent, former Air Force officer, and TBR Consulting founder
"I have known Scott Hyderkhan for over 30 years and can assure readers he is an absolute professional and subject matter expert when it comes to Active Shooter situations. Scott has taken proven leadership principles that he learned as a US Army Ranger and applied them to this book. This book is a timely and essential guide that confronts the real-world challenges of Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) with clarity, depth, and urgency. This manual not only outlines a visionary path forward using proven leadership and planning techniques but identifies the performance issues that continue to hinder most response efforts through the introduction of the ASHER 360 framework.
This user-friendly manual is grounded in a commitment to public safety and written by an outstanding leader who has dedicated his entire adult life to serving others. First, for 20 years in the US Army and then again in a follow-on, 20-year career as a police officer. This manual emphasizes the critical need for regional collaboration, where law enforcement, emergency medical services, government entities, and community organizations operate as a unified force. It candidly addresses the complexity of coordinating diverse partners across varying governance systems during high-stakes, unpredictable incidents—issues that are often overlooked in conventional planning when crisis action planning is required.
This manual advances the conversation on interoperability and helps develop the common operating picture necessary for decisive actions. The Mission Command and 5 Paragraph Operations Order processes are time tested, and battlefield proven. The useful Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) presented in this manual and the manual's pragmatic focus on compatibility fosters both efficiency and trust across agencies, laying the foundation for a common organizational culture that is designed to save lives.
This book is more than a guide; it’s a call to action. Every community leader, responder, and policymaker committed to true readiness when it comes to active shooter and hostile events should read it—and apply it." - Dan Knight, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired), US Army Ranger/Special Forces
