Abner is one hundred and nineteen years old. He is desperately trying to make his one hundred and twentieth birthday so he can see his beloved Cubs win the World Series. It is the year 2020, and Abner is the only living person to remember the last time the Cubs won the World Series. Matt and Jason are two pre-freshman who have taken on a summer assignment: interview an older man. They dejectedly move toward the senior home and their first meeting with Abner. About the Author: Michael J. Bellito taught Speech and English, including creative writing classes, at John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for thirty-two years. He also taught at Harper College, a local community college. His first novel was Ten Again, a story about a young boy and his adventures with his boyhood friends. His second novel was First Time Around, a coming-of-age story about a young boy falling in love for the first time. He now lives in Wheeling with his wife Joani.
