A User's Guide to the Old Testament offers key instruction to get from the text of the Old Testament to the details of our lives. Part One provides an introduction to key theological issues that impact how we read our Old Testament--how the New Testament provides our guide to the Old, how to see Jesus at the center of its message, etc. Part Two looks at the various genre of the Old Testament and provides handholds to interpret each of these--history, law, wisdom, prophetic, and a special chapter on the Psalms.
