"A True Yarn" is a book based on Dan Cornwell's memorirs, letters, remembrances, and recollections when he served as a Merchant Marine Captain of a U.S. Liberty Ship During WW-2. The book uses the war as a venue. But, most of the chapters are short stories involving humor, people he encounters, new cultures he discovers, history of the time, and his adventures on and off his ship. Each of of his stories is based on fact and readable by anyone of any age
