A Tree Called Gabby was written for children who have lost a loved one or a beloved pet. When children are going through the stages of grief; their emotions will change on a daily basis. Some days a child might feel guilty about a loved one passing away. Other stages of grief are; anger, sadness, disbelief and the child may feel abandoned by their loved one. Gabby reaches her branches out to children and lets children know that it is OK; to be sad, mad or angry, when have lost their loved one. It is very important that a child has a loving and nurturing environment to express their feelings to an adult. The story of Gabby; also expands on the subject of our own life span.
