This series is the best fantasy of all time. I have fallen in love with it very badly. Everything about this book was as mind-blowing as the first one. A perfect sequel. The plot was amazing, the characters heart shattering, the world building perfect and the writing magical. I sadly guessed the major plot twist right at the beginning but the others were shocking too. Also, there were few things I didn’t quite like. But I love it anyways haha. Overall, I recommend this series to everyone. Please and please give it a read. It won’t disappoint you.

Sabaa Tahir grew up in California s Mojave Desert at her family s eighteen-room motel. There, she spent her time devouring fantasy novels, raiding her brother s comic book stash, and playing guitar badly. She began writing "An Ember in the Ashes"while working nights as a newspaper editor. She likes thunderous indie rock, garish socks, and all things nerd. Sabaa currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family.
