Nadine Bender was frontier born and raised. Her pa was a hunter, trapper and Cavalry Scout. She spent her younger years at a Trading Post living among Indians. Cullen Caulfield was a farmer from Arkansas coming to Texas for land and opportunity. Theirs was a marriage of convenience. Cullen wanted a wife and Nadine a home.
