Here is a collection of personal poems by former teacher Carl Adkins. The first of these was written when he was a senior at Grinnell College. Others were created when he taught at Shenandoah, Iowa high school, Buena Vista College and University of Denver. The latest poems were produced during his current stint as a writing coach for University of North Carolina Asheville student athletes. While arranged chronologically according to the date each was written, the topics range from early recollections to current responses.
