Laura thought adopting a dog might be the answer to a lonely Christmas.
So did Drew.
When they both arrive at the I Choose You Animal Shelter, they expect to leave with a new best friend. Instead, they meet Einstein, a lovable golden retriever with a mind of his own. During the shelter's one-of-a-kind choosing session, Einstein is released into a room of hopeful pet parents to choose his forever family.
Only he can't seem to make up his mind.
After happily greeting Laura, Einstein trots across the room to Drew. Then back to Laura. Then back to Drew. The shelter manager has never seen anything like it. Faced with an impossible decision, she suggests an unusual arrangement: Laura and Drew will share Einstein until everyone figures out where he truly belongs.
What starts as a simple dog-sharing schedule soon fills their days with muddy walks, coffee shop meetups, holiday events, and one mischievous golden retriever who always seems to know exactly where he wants to be.
As Christmas draws closer, Laura and Drew begin to realize that Einstein may have been making the right choice all along. Sometimes the family you're searching for isn't waiting at the end of a leash. Sometimes it's standing right beside you.
Filled with small-town charm, holiday magic, and a four-legged matchmaker you'll fall in love with, A Pawsitively Merry Meet Cute is a heartwarming friends-to-lovers romance about second chances, unexpected connections, and the beautiful ways love chooses us.
