Howard Kiesel's story tells of growing up at a simpler time -- when ice boxes adorned families' pantries, when radios and single-screen movie theaters were family entertainment, when stick ball and stoop ball were the games played on the street. It's a story of love and marriage, and the trials and tribulations that go along with raising a family in suburbia. Trained as a musician and commercial artist, Kiesel begins his career as an art director's assistant and rises to become a key executive in the then-largest ad agency in New Jersey. Raised with a strong Jewish upbringing, he moves from disillusionment when his father dies at an early age to eventually become a leader in the Jewish community.
