A story of friendship, faith, and finding home.
When eighth-grader Tabitha Taylor moves to Killeen, Texas, she expects another lonely beginning. Then she meets Helen Rhodes, a horse-loving girl who invites her to Rhodes Ranch-and introduces her to J.B. and Cody. As Tabitha learns to ride, she discovers that friendship can grow in unexpected places and that faith can offer strength when life takes a painful turn. Together, the girls face questions about family, grief, forgiveness, and hope. With the help of loyal animals, caring families, and a church community, Tabitha and Helen learn that love can carry them through hard days-and that some bonds are deep enough to last forever.
