A groundbreaking nationwide search for the most compelling British true-life stories. In September 2009, the BBC announced, via The One Show, that they were launching a nationwide competition for the best stories: true life adventures, love stories, triumphs over adversity. The idea behind the competition was to get the nation sharing stories, and writing them and to get communities talking and reading. The idea is to feature fifteen finalists to appear in a much publicised six-week prime time BBC1 series to air in the summer.
