Originally a Philadelphia cop, Kitty Lopez is now a graduate student at a large university in central Pennsylvania (yes, you know the one). She's a typical student, wondering how she is going to finish her master's project, keep up with her class work, and ultimately find a job and pay her bills. She works part time for Dr. Mink, head of the criminology department, and very much the strong, silent type - or is he? Kitty's world is turned upside down when she and her friend Meg stumble upon a murder scene. And when city girl Kitty must brave the snowy Appalachian mountains, she is introduced to more dangers than just a crazed killer on the loose.
