A Cop's Story is the first Short Book in the "Travis Starr" series. Adapted from the original screenplay and told from the perspective of Travis Starr, a tough Atlanta street cop during the '80's and '90's, the story gives a personal look into this officer's life both on and off the street. From the brotherhood the officers of that time shared together to their loves, hates, losses and heartbreaks the story touches on all points of a cop's psyche. The author, James C. Schlicker, worked and lived the streets of Atlanta he writes about during this time period, and to borrow the opening words from "American Hustle" Some of this actually happened.
