A Cold Light is a luminosity that cannot ignite, nor can it generate any heat. This story takes place in a real mining community during 1947 in the UK. The wife of the mines chief electrical engineer, Ivy, falls in love with one of the younger miners, however, when the mine experiences a disaster, Ivy is on the group trying to decide who to rescue first, knowing that in time, the second group will surely die of gas poisoning, Ivy of course, knew that her husband was in one group and her lover in the other.
