For the last three years I have been the Primary Carer for my Mother following her stroke. We have faced many challenges during this time. By far the greatest challenge for me, however, has been trying to explain to people exactly what it is that I do as a Carer. This book is my way of meeting that challenge. For seven days over the christmas period I maintained a diary of events, thoughts and feelings in the hope that it would help inform people of what the life of a Carer is really like. This is that diary.
