A Borderline Case is a collection of personal stories by Jerry Galvin about growing up in Ireland in the 1940s and 1950s in Clones, Co. Monaghan which is on the border of Co. Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. Jerry's stories include personal insight into the political, religious and practical realities of life on the border some 20 to 40 years after the partition. His recollections contain wonderfully descriptive memories of his home and family; Clones the town and some of its remarkable characters; blissful summers spent at his mother's birthplace in Bundoran; as well as education, country life and social norms of the time.
