I will say that I'm surprised by the casualties that happened in this volume and I'm wondering if they really will stick this time. It's sad, to see a couple characters go, but not everyone can survive in this kind of thing. We also get a new insight into what is going on with Vyrde. That there might actually be two sides of her, and I'm intrigued by where that's going. I like the added depth this volume has shown.
