76 Graded Studies for Flute Book Two, selected and edited by Paul Harris and Sally Adams, covers a broad selection of 19th century study repertory, including Baermann, Berr, Demnitz and many others. It follows on directly from the first book, giving an equally broad selection of repertoire. The pieces are selected from the historical repertoire to present playing challenges and new techniques in a specific musical context and arranged in progressive order of difficulty, taking the player through to a Late Intermediate/Advanced standard (Grades 6-8). The studies are arranged in order of increasing difficulty.  This book contains exercises 55 to 76, with the earlier pieces to be found in Book One.
Studies are an established part of every instrumentalist's training. They place technical problems in musical contexts, and can be invaluable aids to development. 76 Graded Studies for Flute is a must-have resource for all students and teachers, and the two books feature heavily on the major examination board syllabuses.
