The Mathematics Dictionary Plus is an outstanding companion publication to the First Past the Post Series published by Eleven Plus Exams. The book aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of mathematics at 11 plus by using accessible language to catalogue definitions of key mathematical concepts, which are each accompanied by questions of varying difficulty. The mathematical concepts are organised alphabetically: names of concepts beginning with ''A'', such as ''acute angles'', are at the start of the book and names of concepts beginning with ''Z'', such as ''zero angles'', are at the end. By structuring the book like a traditional language dictionary, students can immediately locate the specific concept they are looking for. This user-friendly structure means that the Mathematics Dictionary Plus is a resource that students will come back to time and again. Each concept includes a definition, diagrams and questions with two tiers of difficulty. The illustrative examples provided by the definitions and diagrams ensure a core understanding of each concept; they are supplemented by ''Test yourself'' and ''Challenge yourself'' questions to ensure advanced understanding of the practical applications. All answers and explanations to questions are included at the back of the book. Mathematics Dictionary Plus covers concepts set by all major examination boards, including CEM (Centre of Evaluation and Monitoring), GL (Granada Learning), ISEB (Independent Schools Examinations Board) and others. This is a comprehensive reference volume that all students of 11 plus, Common Entrance, Key Stage 2 and beyond will find invaluable.
