The book is the second of the three-book series about the adventures of a boy named Glibb Redundant. This adventure is where he meets two boys his age that are brothers. Their family recently moved into a new subdivision that Glibb did not know was being built not far from his family farm. The new friends go fishing with Glibb and his dad in the pond located on the farm. The brothers get Glibb to try to smoke a cigarette as they are, and it does not turn out very well. Glibb is a positive influence for his new friends.

This book has a moral overtone and is a great read for children. It has adventures fishing and a fish fry which were very much enjoyed by all. The new friends peer pressure for glib to smoke a cigarette does not work out very well.

Notă biografică

Ken Blanton was born in Columbus, Ohio and spent a large portion of his life living and working in Florida. He has resided several years on his small farm in the country where he enjoys writing children's book. He has several hobbies such as painting, wood carving, restoring antique and collectable vehicles. He also enjoys working in his garden. He has worked heavy construction projects in many locations all over the country, and now calls a small farm in Kentucky his home. After generating many engineering manuals and procedures Ken decided to start writing children's books with adventure and a moral thread woven through each book. It has been a great adventure.
