Notă biografică

After being advised by his English teachers that he would "get nowhere with that attitude", David Barnett quit school at 17, determined to write about pop music. He landed a job with Jackie, but was immediately transferred to action comic Commando. He caught Suede by chance on The Chart Show and dedicated his efforts to creating the ultimate Suede fanzine, Suave & Elegant. The band liked it so much they asked him to work for them and he has spent ten years following their every move, being privy to the kind of secrets that will astonish even the most devoted Suedehead.

"'Book of the Month.' (The Observer) 'One of the best rock biographies ever... the inside story of one of the most talented and depraved bands in British history.' (Domestic Terrorist) 'Many illuminating moments...and there is a salacious appeal in reading the grimy truth behind the official line of the time.' (Music Week)"
