Suitable for those involved with children's development in the early years, this work focuses on creative development and provides one hundred practical ideas for use in the education setting.
Each aspect of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage is subdivided into further strands - these will be used as chapters within the book. Within each strand there are learning objectives for different age groups so the ideas with be banded into three age groups 0-1, 1-3 & 3-5.; 1. Exploring media and materials; 2. Music; 3. Development of imagination in music dance, role play and story; 4. Responding to experiences; 5. Expressing and communicating ideas.
Wendy Bowkett has worked in early years settings for 30 years. For fifteen years she ran her own private nursery. Stephen Bowkett taught English for 18 years in Leicestershire High Schools. He is now a full-time writer and trainer.
