Overall, this text is easy-to-use, visually engaging, and contains extensive screen shots so that students are able to compare their work with the text.

Hands-on practice through the use of a fictitious company.
Throughout the text, students use a fictitious company that is a combination service/merchandising business and sole proprietorship. The chapters include a complete business cycle, enabling students to receive hands-on training in QuickBooks within each chapter. At the end of every chapter, these concepts and applications are reinforced by true/false, multiple-choice, fill-in, and essay questions, plus an application problem using a different fictitious service/merchandising company. The final chapter allows the students to create their own a company for use in QuickBooks.
